Holy crap, I'm back. Sorry about the Internet break everyone but I've returned. Massive thanks to the other co-authors who've been posting in my absence so back to the review.

Ayria, or legally known as the very sexy Miss Jennifer Parkin, was formerly the female counterpart of the band Epsilon Minus until she decided to get off her ass and make her own stuff. How very 90's boy bandish. Anyways she has beening raping clubs with various hits including the billions upon billions of remixes of 'Disease' and remixes of other popular songs done by her. Whatever keeps you Cyberkids waving your glowsticks, fine by me.

Lyrically she uses her music as an emotional outlet which gives a more in-depth view of her as a person, and of course I always go nuts for that. No one enjoys the idiotic realization that a musician they adore is a regular person as well. [/sarcasm]

When I first heard 'Cutting' off of Flicker, I thought she was using the lyrics in a mocking context seeing that a lot of her fans are teenagers and as melodramatic as some teens are, they lead to self-mutilation. Later on in an interview I found out it was about her personal experience when she used to cut herself. Ouch, I felt stupid. Everyone slap me for my e-shallowness.

Emotions, social issues, other things and lovely digital clashing pieces together wonderfully in her discography. And if you haven't noticed, I have actually added a memo of her new album's release date in September to my PDA. Yes, I have a PDA. It beats getting ink poisoning from writing memos on my hand all the time and it has cute little games that I lose at all the time. Happy listening, honkies.

Before I get anymore music posted here I need to get my Electronic music fetish out of the way and over with. Angelspit is a pair of angry Austrailians (I picked this image because it's a lesser seen photo of them happy) who bash shiny metallic things together and sing aboout social issues, which is where the Industrial and Cyber-Punk noises comes in.

Personally I enjoy them for when I'm in an angry but nonviolent mood (sometimes when I'm mad I tend to highly overanalyze people and things which fits this album in a way). Usually the idea of Electro music is repetitive beats over and over again, but in this it's not quite the case. I enjoy how in depth the lyrics are instead of being completely straight-forward, allowing the mind to go several ways when interpretating the overall message of the song.

And as a special treat, I found the second disc which features remixes of songs from the original album. Your welcome, children.

Oh lawdy, the first post of my brand new music blog. Usually you would think I would leave the debut post to include a musical album but in this case I say "NEIN!". Obviously I am a huge Emilie fangirl, and sometime ago I found her very rare all-poetry album. :D

If you've heard any of her music it focuses on literature, society, philosophies, idealogies, history, et cetera. Her poetry however focuses more on a personal level and lets you inside her mind in an emotional sense which is in some ways uncommon, unless you're one of those fans who sits all day on your Internet interpreting every lyric through petty message forums and second-rate websites.

Now when I say emotional I don't mean in any way that she goes on a whining spree. It's in fact a suitable album for when you're in an artsy mood on a day where it's pouring outside. Recommended especially for fans of literature and Shakspeare (she has written a few sonnets and recorded them onto this album). Personally I think she's a lot more talented compared to the likes of more popular modern-day artists (anyone ever seen that skank Tila Tequila perform on electric violin and harpsichord?).

Sometimes it can get a little cheesy, but that's poetry for you. She also has little bits of music in the background during tracks (usually harpsichord, electronic sounds, et cetera) that contribute a sound befitting the tone of the lyrics.
