A favorite film of mine, the film "Tank Girl" based off a Punk comic from Britainia in the late 80's, early 90's. Asides from giving birth to Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxise and being America's mother and also its bitch, the comic itself is ine of the things that the UK gave birth to that was full of epic win. So about thirteen years ago Hollywood made it into a movie and was put off to the side as a B-list film, which meant no morons dancing around with Tank Girl shirts like today's Spiderman and Transformers films.
For a film based off a Punkesque comic the soundtrack itself has a nice diverse collection of artists and pulls it off by fitting the scenes very well. Unless your computer's allergic to Phptobucket you can see all the artists' names on the album artwork in clever little comic bubbles which suits it perfectly (again, the 'based off a comic' thing).
Now some of the artists I never cared for (Ice-T, Stomp, Belly) but some I was suprised that I loved hearing (Devo, Joan Jett, Bjork). Really it is a good movie and a fine album for people who are more open-minded versus elist assholes.
Amanda's Rating: 3/5
